Hello my loves!!! I am so excited and feeling extremely blessed to be apart of such a talented group of bloggers showcasing our homes for this Holiday Season. For those of you visiting from Made By Carli Welcome to the House of V!!! Isn’t Carli’s home simply beautiful!?!
I am so glad to you are here. The links for all the participants of Our Homes for the Holidays Home Tour can be found at the bottom of my post!!! In this special Holiday Edition I will be sharing my Dining Room, Living Room and Family Room.
So c’mon in and grab a cup of Coffee. Is this not the best time of year!?! From the twinkling lights to the smell of the fresh pine trees (that I wish I could have in my home) this time of year is Simply Magical….
Lets kick off the tour with the Dining Room.
I have this thing for twinkling lights and trees…lots of trees…
Don’t mind those corner guards over there, I have children and dogs and well let’s face it, I’m just a klutz
I wanted to create a simple, casual and rustic table scape with my Wooden Trojan Horse as the Focal Point:
I achieved this look by using items I already had on hand, like these Holiday Plates and Gold-ware Utensils in a rustic tool box. And can we talk about this little wooden snowman I purchased from a local flea market, I mean how cute!!! I also added on, you guessed it, Trees, Mini Trees!!!
I wanted to finish this room by adding this festive throw. Love that pop of Red!!!
Now let’s move on to the Living Room. I must warn you, I do like color…lots of color, and well the tree in this room resembles just that. It is full of colorful ornaments that we have collected throughout the years…
I had barely started decorating in here when this view came upon me and I just couldn’t resist capturing this picture
Meet Opie, he is a rescue that I had the pleasure to adopt a few years back. He likes this room so you may see him here frequently….
As you can see we not only have a thing for trees, but snowmen as well. We even have names for each of them. This one you see above is Mr. Frosty…Below is a super close up of my oh so colorful tree and those Angel Wings that I have up all year long!!!
Yes I agree, we need another view of those beautiful Angel Wings!!!
Hmmm…Opie sure likes being in these pics…
Lets move on to the Family Room. This area of the house is actually where we spend the most of our time. I wanted to continue with the rustic and cozy vibe in this room as well. This White Twig Tree that I purchased last year seemed to tie that look in perfectly..
Yes I know, another dog, his name is Jax. We rescued him about 2 years ago around the same time we moved into this house…
Above is a close up of that beautiful rustic twig tree during the day.I went the traditional route with the color scheme in this room by sticking with reds, whites and greens…
Do you spy another snowman? That would be Mr. Stretch over there, kids named him that because you can adjust his height. Above is another picture of this same corner at night…the twinkly lights are truly so magical!!!
Here is another close up of the tree and wrapping paper that I already had on hand and just decided to throw it in as decor – functional!!!
On the mantle I used a chalkboard and put a Magnolia Wreath on it to create a simple and rustic back drop.
I especially love that JOY sign from the target dollar spot as well as that little red house ornament that added just the exact pop of color to this mantle. The garland is from Walmart.
Yes, I have to give it to you in all angles so you can take in those sparkly, twinkly beautiful lights!!!
